Wilcox G24 Lite

The Wilcox G24 Lite is a low profile breakaway dovetail mount built for users who want to cut weight without giving up strength or reliability. Similar to the standard Wilcox G24, the G24 Lite uses a dovetail shoe interface and offers universal mounting compatibility with compatible night vision systems.

The breakaway feature can be turned on or off using the built in switch. When the breakaway function is turned on and the mount is placed under stress, the mount can separate from the base to help reduce the potential for neck injury.

G24 vs G24 Lite

The biggest difference between the Wilcox G24 and the Wilcox G24 Lite is weight.

The G24 Lite is approximately 12% lighter than the standard G24, weighing 5.2 ounces compared to 5.9 ounces for the standard G24. Travel distance remains the same between both mounts.

The G24 Lite uses the lightweight travel carriage from the Wilcox G69 mount and does not contain magnets. The standard G24 uses magnets for compatibility with the discontinued Wilcox auto off function. By removing those magnets and using the lighter carriage design, the G24 Lite reduces weight while still maintaining the durability expected from a Wilcox mount.
